Their California bungalow located in Camberwell, while charming and classic architecturally it was too small despite having already been extended.

Cecily and Bernard Lavery were drawn to a 1912 weatherboard house in Canterbury by its unusual architecture and the potential for renovation. We were able to visit and speak to owners of several other houses recently renovated by Victorian Extension Design.

Victorian Extension Design went out of their way to find materials we needed for our plans. They matched perfectly the existing floorboards. The high ceilings, cornices, ceiling roses and box bay windows were carried through to the extension so it’s difficult to pinpoint the old from the new.
