Victorian Extension Design Pty Ltd offers a complete and professional design and construct service. All the key people in Victorian Extension Design have a trade background and extensive experience in the building industry. With our wealth of experience, we are able to lead the client from the initial first meeting right through to the completed project.
Step One
The first step is to contact our office to arrange your first, obligation free appointment. At the first meeting in your home, we will discuss what your specific ideas, needs and requirements are. It is very helpful if you can have available the plans of your existing home or a real estate brochure showing the existing floor plan of the property.
During this first meeting we can provide a freehand concept sketch of your project, giving some solutions and possibilities of what can be achieved. We will also provide an indication of the approximate cost for the project. At the conclusion of this meeting, we will leave these sketches for your further consideration and ask you to contact us if you would like to take the next step in the process forward. Clients are always encouraged to contact us with any additional enquiries they may have.
This is all done on the first meeting with no obligation and cost to the client. In most cases, our representative will leave the sketches with the client and if they want to take the next step, or have any further questions they want to ask, they are encouraged to contact us.
Step Two
The next step begins by contacting our office to arrange another meeting. By the time you have reached this stage, you will no doubt have more questions and ideas that you will wish to discuss regarding your project. At this second meeting, further discussions and revisions will be made to the concept sketch. At the conclusion of this meeting, we will then have our design team prepare a scaled drawing, written specification of the proposed works and a detailed budget estimate which will be within a 5% to 10% price range.
Step Three
Once you have reviewed our concept proposal, we will then have the project fully priced by our estimating team. A fixed price quotation will be provided for your review and consideration.
The Final Step
Upon finalisation of the design and cost of your project, we will then proceed to a formal agreement of our proposal to build your project. We will then commence with the preparation of the full working drawings, civil engineering and soil report for construction, as well as formalising our agreement with the preparation of a building contract and specification. On the completion of documentation, a building permit will be obtained and commencement of your building project can begin.
